On the frame of the CRETE project, two Intensive Courses have been planned. The theme of both of these training events is the Critical Skills an Electronic Engineer should have to address the qualifications the 4th Industrial Revolution will request. Both of the events share common characteristics:
- Topic: Critical Skills of an Electronic Engineer of 2020
- Duration: Four days of lecturing (24 hours) and one day of presentations and exams
- Themes to be covered: Problem Based Learning, Blended Teaching, Open Science Principles, Fund Raising, Project Management, Leadership & Communication, Scientific Writing, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, Internet of Things, Innovative Materials for Electronics, Embedded Systems, Quantum Computing
- Learning Outcomes: Help students to realize the qualifications should have to address the 4th Industrial Revolution employment opportunities & challenges
- Level: Introductory to medium level of difficulty
- Funded Positions: Two academics & five students per partner within the consortium

Two such seminars have initially planned: one during 2019 at Aalborg University and the 2nd one in the Institute of Polytechnic de Porto (IPP). However, because of the COVID-19 travel restrictions, we have planned online training events for students and scholars and in accordance with the objectives of the project. More analytically:
