One of the tasks of the CRETE consortium is to build new semester modules that will enrich the existed undergraduate curricula of the partner Institutions. The material will have an offline form (e.g. PowerPoint presentations, assessment tests). To make the build material more interactive the offline – lecture notes will be accompanied by audio or video files. The modules’ topics will be linked with the priorities of the project, which are:

  • Robotics and Artificial Intelligence
  • Quantum Computing
  • Principles of IoT
  • New Materials in Electronics
  • 5G Communications
  • Writing and Reading Skills
  • New Teaching Methods in Engineering
  • Entrepreneurship Skills
  • Open Science Principles

During the project’s lifetime, 19 modules were under the following categories: hard skills-related modules, soft skills-related modules, and teaching science modules. More particular:

Hard Skills related modules

  • An Introduction to Artificial Intellingence (10 lectures, Q/A sessions, audio supported files)

  • An Introduction to Internet of Things (12 lectures, Q/A sessions, audio supported files)

  • An Introduction to Data Science (5 lectures, Q/A sessions, audio supported files)
  • An Introduction to 3D Modeling and 3D Printing (12 lectures, Q/A sessions, audio supported files)

  • An Introduction to Oral Presentation Skills (5 lectures, Q/A sessions, middle 7 end exam papers, audio supported files)
  • An Introduction to Human Management & Decision Making (10 lectures, Q/A sessions, audio supported files)

Teaching Science related modules

  • Principles of Blended Teaching (notes on main principles)
  • An Introduction to Problem Based Learning for Teachers (5 lectures, Q/A sessions, exam paper, audio supported files)
  • An Introduction to Problem Based Learning for Students (5 lectures, Q/A sessions, exam paper, audio supported file)
  • An Introduction to Online Teaching (8 lectures, Q/A sessions, exam paper and audio supported files)

The consortium has developed soft skills teaching guide that can help Academics to apply and cultivate students’ soft skills along with the teaching of any module of any discipline. All the modules can be found and their materials can be uploaded from the project’s Moodle platform, please check here
